Elon Musk announces that he will reduce his involvement in the Trump administration after a major wedge of the X network

A temporary interruption of the Social network X, which occurred on Saturday, caused Elon Musk to announce that he will return to an increasing involvement in the companies he leads and that he will greatly reduce the time dedicated to the Trump administration.

“Back to spending 24 hours of 24, 7 days out of work and sleeping in conference/servers/factories”, wrote Elon Musk on X, mentioning that he has to focus on X, Xai and Tesla, but also on the next launch of the Starship rocket, scheduled for next week.

Elon Musk is currently leading the X network, Xai artificial intelligence company (developer of Grok), Tesla and Spacex. He is also involved in Donald Trump's administration, who has joined as a counselor on government efficiency, in front of Doge, reports News.ro.
The X network, targeted by a possible cyber attack
According to the web sites monitoring platform, the X network interruption would have been caused by an alleged cyber attack launched by the group of Dienet hackers. They claimed an attack “Test” of the Denial of Service (DOS) type and threatened with the launch of an even more destructive technology. So far, the statements of the group have not been verified independently.
Musk acknowledged that the incident reveals serious operational issues: “The failover redundancy should have worked, but it did not.
Musk, increasingly absent from Trump's close circle
Although he was one of the visible personalities of the Trump administration in recent months, Musk has expressed his intention to diminish his government. He recently said that he would dedicate only one or two days a week for Doge, the rest of the time will allocate him to his own business.
In fact, his presence with Donald Trump has reduced significantly in recent weeks. Even though Wednesday, May 21, he was present in the Oval Office, at the meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Musk seems more determined to gradually withdraw from the political sphere.
Starship, the next major test for Spacex
Next week, Spacex will try a new launch of the Starship rocket, considered essential for future missions per month and Mars. The event could take place on Tuesday, being a priority for Musk in the next period.
In parallel, the entrepreneur recently acknowledged that the ambitious objectives of the Doge Commission – including massive discounts of federal expenses and dismissions in the public apparatus – have not yet been achieved.
