US Federal Judge Brian Murphy said that the administration of President Donald Trump violated the law by deciding on the deportation to Sudan Sudan. foreigners convicted in the USA. In the justification, he referred to the April decision of the federal court so as not to deport to countries other than their native countries.

Murphy said that the American authorities did not provide six migrants with the opportunity to effectively appeal from the decision to send them to South Sudan. He emphasized that they were informed about this possibility less than 24 hours before placing on the plane. He reminded that people who are not US citizens must have at least 10 days to report fears about their own security before they are deported to a country other than their native ones.
The US authorities intended to deport the Sudan Sudan. citizens of Cuba, Laos, Mexico, Mjanmy (Burma), Vietnam and South Sudan. Everyone has final judgments for murders, arms attacks in hand and other serious crimes. Six of them were covered by a decision issued in April regarding the country to which the deportation is followed.
Administration representatives emphasized at the hearing that the case concerns people who have sentences for serious crimes. It was not without verbal skirmishes. According to Reuters, Murphy threatened officials with legal consequences “for participating in illegal deportation.” The agency at the same time emphasized that he did not punish anyone. The representatives of the White House called Murphy's “extremely leftist activist” who wants to “dictate how foreign policy”.
The judge decided that interviews have to be interviewed to assess whether they have justified fears before going to South Sudan, and they should also be given at least 15 days to resume immigration proceedings, if officials of the National Security Department (DHS) consider their fears to be insufficient. Murphy also admitted that DHS had the freedom to detain deported outside the US.
Representatives of organizations supporting migrants participating in the trial emphasized that South Sudan is also a dangerous country for its inhabitants, and the US Department of State advises citizens to travel to this country.
The men's deportation procedure remain in American custody, and the authorities of the South Sudan assured that after their arrival everyone would be examined and then “again deported to the right country.”
In Reuters, the verdict of Judge Murphy is one of the strongest reminders so far at the current US administration. In the election campaign, Trump announced that he would quickly deal with illegal immigration, but – as the agency emphasized – many of his actions were limited by the courts. (PAP)
