The record number of Americans submitted applications for British citizenship between January and March, i.e. in the period of which the second term of the US President Donald Trump began – CNN station said on Friday, quoting the data of the Ministry of the Interior in London.
In the first three months of the year, a total of 1931 Americans submitted such applications, i.e. by 12 percent. More than in the previous quarter and the most, since in 2004 such statistics began to be collected – said CNN, reminded that the increase was also recorded in the last quarter of last year, i.e. in the period when Trump won the election.
For the last time, Americans' interest in British citizenship increased violently in 2020, during the first term of Trump, when the Covid-19 pandemia (PAP) lasted in the world.
