In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, since the beginning of 2025, the volume of illegally prepared wood in the region decreased by 40%: from 10.9 thousand to 6.5 thousand cubic meters.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Forest Complex noted that over the past few years in the region have significantly increased the staff of forest inspectors. Now more than 300 people are monitoring the order in the forests, forest volunteers who have trained are helping them. They promptly report all the violations discovered in the “forest protection”. Specialists who came to the place draw up documents.

“In 2025, we observe a significant decrease in the volume of illegally prepared wood. We managed to achieve such results thanks to the strengthening of forest supervision: the patrol routes and the number of raids were increased. A good help in the work of experts is a new high -grade equipment, inspectors also use drones and cosmonitoring. Due to the integrated approach, the entire territory of the state forest fund is under constant control. Accordingly, the number of cases of illegal deforestation is reduced, residents of the region understand that today in the forest is total control, ”said Alexey Bolshakov, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and the Forest Complex of the Territory.

Now in the arsenal of inspectors there are more than 250 units of equipment: swampers, ATVs, snowmobiles, UAZs, as well as boats and boats. In total, since the beginning of the year, experts have conducted 6,250 raids.

So, in the Yenisei district, the Lesnaya Security officers, together with the police during the raid, detained a local resident who harvested trees for firewood without documents. The damage to the state flesh fund amounted to 11 thousand rubles. And in the Krasnoturansky district, a man illegally chopped birch trees, the damage to the State Medical Flood amounted to almost 30 thousand rubles. Now both violators face criminal liability for up to 7 years, they will also have to pay the amount of damage caused to the State Medical Flood.
