The co-founder and former Co-president of Gold, Claudiu Târgiu, officially announced on Wednesday, May 21, that he will launch at the end of June a new political movement, called “Conservative Action”. Later states that the initiative will not be a “refuge for political migrants”, but claims that the project will remain open for “people of character and specialists who share conservative values” and who can contribute to the reconstruction of an authentic right pole.
“It is a natural step in a mission that I have assumed more than two decades ago and which I have not abandoned for a moment.
“My decision is not one at the moment. I planned it carefully and decided to announce it after the choices just to be confused with any electoral interest. While some count their winnings or lick their wounds after failures, I think now is the best time for reconstruction,” the former co-president continued.
He says that the new formation will be “conservative in values and determined in deeds”, different from the populism and extremism that it rejects: “We believe in God, family and freedom. We do not come to the political scene to make a presence, but to give meaning and historical direction.”
Later claims that the movement will start “from scratch, with well -defined structures” and that it will reject the opportunistic political migration.
“We will never be the favorite refuge of political migrants, nor the temporary destination of professional leaders in search of electoral vehicles,” he says.
Prior to this announcement, Claudiu Late told Hotnews.ro that he had no discussions with former members of the Party of young people (Pot), who have resigned in the last few days, but says he does not exclude a possible collaboration, if they are found in the values of the movement they initiate.
“I leave the door open to all those who have the necessary qualities and want to join this step. From this point of view, a lot of people have thought that I could bring those who have left or others who are going to leave other parties. I did not propose to pull the sleeve. Not extremist, not the leftist.
Asked if he is expecting a gold departures, Claudiu Târzi said he was convinced that “they will definitely leave”, and argued that many of the current parliamentarians have in the meantime that “the party deviated from the road that initially started, from the principles and values he has assumed.”
“It has transformed from a right-wing conservative party into a left-hand populist. They probably have not been to vicier in any way to victory the presidential campaign of the party leader. Now it has nothing,” said late. He said that some of the former colleagues “have already expressed their intention to enter the project we initiated”, but that “they have to take the steps.” “I do not force anyone, I do not urge anyone. If people think they can serve this national cause from a formation other than gold, they are welcome.”
Claudiu Tibdiu had announced in April that he was leaving gold and intended to form a new party, after the presidential elections in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
