MedLife brings to Sibiu experts in the country and abroad to debate the latest techniques addressed in urological robotic surgery

The MedLife group organizes, between 22 and 24, 2025, at MedLife Polisano Sibiu Hospital (Izvorului str. No. 1A), the 15th edition of the Clear International Symposium-Laparoscopy, endoscopy and urological robotics club.

The event brings together experts from Romania and the great European university centers, bringing to the same table renowned urologists and technologies that model the future of the minimum invasive medical act.
For three days, Cleru15 MedLife becomes the meeting space between science, technology and advanced medical practice, where the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques applied in urological pathology are discussed and tested. Participants will work with state -of -the -art robotic systems, witness LIVE 3D interventions and interact directly with some of the most respected specialists in Robotic oncological urology and abroad.
“Through Cleru15 MedLife, we continue our mission to support medical education and face good doctors with the latest generation technology and the most advanced practices in minimally invasive surgery. It is an event that reflects MedLife's commitment and continuous development of medical teams,” says Dr. Larisa Chiriac.
The structure of the event covers three distinct days of educational activities. The day of May 22 is dedicated to Hands-on training, the participants actively working on six laparoscopy stations with e-Blus training models and on a Da Vinci robotic station, using models of biological and silicone tissue. On May 23 and 24, the program includes demonstrative surgery transmitted live 3D from the operating room, presentations “State of the Art” supported by international experts, multidisciplinary sessions addressed to oncologists and radiotherapists involved in urological pathology, but also a session session and educational.
“Cleru15 MedLife is an event built around the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques, with a special emphasis on laparoscopy and robotic surgery. Participants will have direct access to state-of-the-art robotic systems, realistic biological models and intensive hand-on sessions, meant to reproduce the conditions in the room. Some of the most respected urologists in Europe, ”says Dr. Bogdan Petruț, urologist and organizer of the event.
The event benefits from the presence of renowned international experts. Among them are Prof. Dr. Giorgio Bozzini (Como, Italy), leader of the working group for bladder tumors within the European Urology Association, known for its expertise in laparoscopic and robotic oncological surgery. Prof. Dr. Fabrizio Dal Moro and Prof. Dr. Giacomo Novara, specialized in the robotic treatment of complex renal tumors and in the Rasius sparing technique applied in radical prostatectomy come from Padua. From Oxford University comes Prof. Dr. Prasanna Sooriakumaran, one of the most influential voices in the robotic surgery of advanced local prostate cancer. Prof. Dr. Thomas Bschleipfer (Coburg, Germany), expert in functional and oncological urology, and Prof. Dr. Cristian Ilie (Norwich, UK), a graduate of UMF Cluj, completes the list of guests, along with Romanian specialists with relevant experience in the field.

“Cleru15 MedLife is an extraordinary opportunity to learn and collaborate directly with the elites of European urology. The presence of some of the most appreciated international specialists transforms this event into an landmark for minimally invasive medicine. For us, the organizers is an assumed mission-that of bringing together the global expertise,” Valentin Pîrvuț, primary urologist and organizer of the event.
Cleru15 MedLife is more than a scientific event, it is a real platform for knowledge and good practices, where the surgery of the future is analyzed, discussed and practiced in real time.
