The “Romania” International Train will provide the direct connection from Bucharest with Varna daily, from June 13, but also with Sofia and Istanbul/Halkali, on June 14, CFR Călatori informs on Thursday, in a press release, Agerpres reports.
According to the quoted source, the train will run on the new route between June 13 and October 13, 2025, and a ticket on the Bucharest-Varna (or return) relationship, in the 2nd class, costs 32 euros, on the Bucharest North-Sofia route, in the 2nd class, costs 33 euros and on the distance of Bucharest, or for 57.
The circulation program of the “Romania” International Train will be as follows:
- train 461 (461/2615) Bucharest Nord (departure 10:11) – Varna (arrival 20:55) – Traffic period June 13 – October 12, 2025;
- train 460 (2612/460) Varna (departure 7:45) – Bucharest North (arrival 17:32) – Traffic period June 14 – October 13, 2025;
- Train 461 Bucharest North (departure 10:11) – Sofia (arrival 20:35) – Circulation period June 14 – October 12, 2025;
- train 460 (20231/460) Sofia (departure 6:50) – Bucharest North (arrival 17:32) – Traffic period June 13 – October 12, 2025;
- Train 461 (461/465/493/12504) Bucharest North (departure 10:11) – Istanbul/ Halkali (arrival 9:56) – Circulation period June 14 – October 13, 2025;
- Train 460 (12503/492/464/460) Istanbul/ Halkali (departure 20:00) – Bucharest North (arrival 17:32) – Circulation period June 12 – October 11, 2025.
CFR Călatori representatives mention that the period of anticipation of train tickets for international traffic trips is 90 days.
Tickets can be purchased from CFR Călatori Traveti stations and travel agencies, as well as online from https://bileteinternionale.cfrcalatori.ro/ro, with lifting tickets from the train station or with courier delivery on the territory of the country, for the destinations of Bulgaria and Turkey. For the destinations in Bulgaria, the ticket can also be received in PDF (A4RT) format on the mobile phone.
For the trip to Bulgaria or Turkey, the Interrail offer can be used in the continuous or flexi version, the tickets can be purchased from the ticket offices and agencies for sale in international traffic.
