Trump's technological counselors, Magnites Elon Musk and David Sacks, question the Romanian elections / reverse reaction from the US Senate. What the senators said about Nicușor Dan

In contrast, Romanians from the US, many of them working in the technological fields where the two magnates also activate, they voted overwhelming (69.88%) in favor of Nicusor Dan. Both in the US and Canada, voting mobilization was unprecedented: 25,000 votes in the US and 15,000 in Canada, more than double compared to round 1.
- The total difference in vote between Nicușor Dan and George Simion was 829,589 votes, out of 11,507,000 votes expressed in total. The elections have brought massive participation by both camps, being the highest participation rate since 1996.
- The difference so great and the fact that none of the many national and internal observers (including the US Embassy) notified irregularities, was the one who initially determined George Simion to recognize his defeat. Then he returned and said he would challenge the elections.
- On Tuesday night, in Romania, 6 senators, Republicans and Democrats, from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Senate, sent an official statement, saying: “We congratulate the president of Nicușor Dan” and called the US Alliance as a “unwavering”. “The Euro -Atlantic community is stronger when Romania is next to them,” they said.
Elon Musk and David Sacks, both white house counselors, commented separately on Sundays in Eastern Europe. The right-wing technological moguls question the state of democracy in Romania, conflicting with the head of American diplomacy in this country, reports the website of American television NBC News.
Most of Europe, the reaction to the presidential elections on Sunday in Romania was a relief, the article reports. “The winner, Nicușor Dan, is a centrist who supports Ukraine, and his victory has closed what the Romanian authorities call a coup attempt supported by Russia, notes the quoted source.”
But, for a handful of magnations in the field of right -hand technology, the defeat of George Simion, the golden leader, by Nicușor Dan, meant something else, says NBC.
Two of them, Elon Musk and David Sacks, both Trump's counselors, expressed their dissatisfaction with the state of democracy in Romania.
Sacks: “Statistically unlikely, if not impossible”
Sacks, who was called “Tsar” for artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency by Trump in December, denounced the result of the elections as “statistically unlikely, if not impossible”, in a post on his personal account of X, where he has 1.3 million followers.
The statement was equivalent to an accusation of fraud, although Sacks did not provide any evidence, and criticized the Romanian authorities because they removed the pro-Russian candidate Călin Georgescu. Simion already defeated when Sacks posted.
Elon Musk intervened separately. On X, he amplified an accusation of the head of the telegram messenger application, Pavel Durov, who stated that the French government asked to ban the conservative voices in Romania on Telegram before elections. The founder of Telegram said he refused request. The French Foreign Ministry has denied that it has ever made such a request.
“Wow,” Musk wrote, distributing Durov's accusation to his 219 million followers. Responding to another post of Durov in which he stated that the Romanian democracy is in danger, Musk wrote: “It is!”

In recent history, it is unusual for counselors from the White House to comment individually foreign policy topics, unless their work is specific to national security. However, Musk, in particular, has been far from past practices. He promoted political movements, policies and rights in at least 18 countries, especially in Europe, according to a balance of NBC News.
Musk and Sacks' social networks show how the importance of Romanian politics has increased in the minds of rich people in the field of technology in recent years, especially as an attitude towards Russia, NBC notes.
The NBC notes that, in contrast to the two magicians, the US Embassy in Romania posted on Sunday that it sent several teams to observe the vote. On Tuesday, the interim head of the US mission in Romania, Michael L. Dickerson, posted a greeting note for the elected president of Romania on X.
