The ultra-modern stadium “Kraljevica” from Zajacar, recently inaugurated and approved UEFA for international matches, has a value of about 30 million euros and a capacity of 8,168 places. The arena will host the final of the Serbia Cup, Vojvodina – Red Star Belgrade.

Interestingly, Zajacar has never had a team in the first league of Serbian football, but now, with the new stadium, both the city and the Timok football club, could take steps to get closer to the Superliga of Serbia.

The “Kraljevica” stadium received its name from the Pădure Park with the same name in which it is.

Although this modern stadium can compete with some stadiums from the top Legions of Europe, FK Timok is currently evolving in the fourth football step in Serbia. Two seasons ago, Timok evolved in Liga 2, but due to the modest financing, exclusively from the city of Zajacar, they could not cope with the expenses and competition.

The Kraljevica stadium has 20 different entrances with ticket readers, 24 points for the sale of soft drinks and a lot of TVs inside the stadium. There are also VIP inputs and a parking with 180 seats. In addition to the excellent facilities for journalists and the media in general, there is also an anti-doping control room according to the latest standards. The land is made of a state-of-the-art hybrid area, 70%.

The president of Timok spoke about the club's plan to reach the first league of Serbia: “

In this context, Milorad Vuckovic, President of FK Timok, spoke about the possibilities of the club and how the team could climb to the first league in Serbia.

“It is important for the team to exist and play football. We must set up financially, that the team should be stable and pay our debts. By the end of the year, FK Timok will no longer have any debts. As a house is built from the foundation, so we must also develop the financial club, and the results will come.

Each competition in a upper echelon requires a lot of money. For example, for League II you need about 500,000 euros. All the teams in the eastern Serbia have quickly relegated to the Second League. Later, they had financial problems. So did Timok, twice in the recent past, played in the lower leagues.

After that, he had problems with the money, which is normal, because the funds were smaller than those needed for the competition. We now need a stable financial policy so that Timok is ready to enter Liga 2 to stay there, without accumulating debts. When we are prepared, when we find sponsors and financial stability, then we will compete in Liga 2, “said Milorad Vuckovic, according to Sportal.blic.rs.
