Queue at the counters for the release of the bulletin at the population records in a sector of the Capital, the day before the elections

Dozens of people are waiting on Saturday at the headquarters of the population in Sector 4, Bucharest, to obtain the document with which to vote on Sunday in the presidential elections, tour II. Some of the people claim that the employees of the institution keep a single office open and do not cope with the request.

People in line say they have the bulletin expired and that they could only make programming for June, but they want to vote in the second round of the presidential elections, so they opted to physically go to the population records to obtain the renewal of the identity document.

“I am in line, along with several dozens, at the Sector 4 Population Record Service from the Grand Arena mall, for the release of the bulletin in emergency. We came here because we can no longer make online appointments until June. There is a single open counter and there are people who have not come to 7.00. HotNews.ro, one of the people in line.

She said she has tried, several times, in the last two weeks to schedule online for the release of the bulletin, but all the slots were busy.

“The head of service told me that their processing speed is 6 people per hour and that their program ends at 16.00. Not even the 6 people enter, the process is heavy,” says the person. She claims that she came during the week, but, in the absence of an online schedule, “they didn't even look at me.”

Starting March 25, the schedules can be done exclusively online, but the institution has announced that it opens up and for those who have not taken programming: “On the days of 03, 04, 17 and 18 May 2025 we will receive requests only for the people who do not have a valid identity document and possess all the necessary documents provided by the specific legislation in force,” writes on the site of the population.
