Presidential elections 2025, tour 2. The voting can be extended where there are voters in a row. They get order vouchers

The vote in presidential elections 2025, the second round, can be extended both in the sections in the country and in the diaspora for those in a row on Sunday at the time when the polls should close – 21.00, Romania time.
Abroad, Romanians are already voting, starting on Friday, from 7:00 local time, until Sunday. On Sunday, in the diaspora voting for presidential elections 2025, tour 2, ends at 21:00, Romania time.
On the first and second voting day, the Diaspora sections are closed at 21:00 local time. The voters who at 21:00 are at the headquarters of the section, as well as those who are in a row outside the section headquarters to enter the ballot box can vote until the latest at 23:59.
On Sunday, May 18, the third day when Romanians from abroad can vote in presidential elections 2025, the voting ends as follows:
- The sections organized in countries whose time zone is advanced compared to that of Romania (it will arrive at 21:00 local time before Romania reaches the respective time) are closed at 21:00 local time. In this situation, voters who at 21:00 are at the headquarters of the polling station abroad, as well as those who are in a row outside the section headquarters to enter the voting premises can exercise their right to choose until the latest at 23:59.
- The sections organized in areas located on the same time zone as that of Romania (will be reached at 21:00 at the same time) are closed at 21:00 local time. In this situation, the voters in a row can vote until the latest at 23:59.
- The polling stations organized in areas whose time zone is returned to that of Romania (the local time will be reached after the moment when Romania reaches the respective time) are closed at the local time of Romania 21:00. And in this situation, the voters who at the local time of Romania 21:00 are at the headquarters of the polling station abroad, as well as those who are in a row can vote until at the latest at the local time of Romania 23:59.
In the country, the voting for presidential elections 2025, tour 2, takes place in one day-Sunday, May 18th. The sections open at 7:00 and close at 21:00.
Voters who at 21:00 are waiting in a row to vote can exercise their right to choose until 23:59 at the latest.
If at 21:00 in the polling station and/or outside there are voters who are in a row, two members of the Electoral Bureau carry out the following operations, according to the AEP:
- count the voters in a row;
- hand over the voters in a row vouchers on which the control stamp of the polling station or its equivalent was applied, as the case may be;
- records the number of voters in a row in a finding report;
- remain outside the voting premises to monitor the order of access within it;
- Forbid other people to sit in a row to exercise their right to vote after the local time 21:00 or the local time of Romania 21:00, as the case may be.
- Prior to the exercise of the right to vote, the voters in this situation teach to the electoral bureau of the polling station the orders received.
Nearly 18 million voters are expected in presidential elections 2025, Tour II, to choose their president for the next five years of the two candidates in the final race for Cotroceni-Nicușor Dan and George Simion.
