
Ordinary potato pancakes are well familiar to many, but not all of us tried to add a little fruit notes to the recipe. However, it is such a combination of tastes that causes delight from the first bite.
Prepare such sweet-salt pancakes for dinner to make sure of this yourself:
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes
- 1 sweet and sour apple
- 1 small onion
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 chicken egg
- salt and black pepper to taste
- Refined sunflower oil
Cooking
- Peel the potatoes and apple and grate on a coarse grater, and chop the onion finely. Squeeze the excess juice from the potato mass – so the pancakes will be better to keep the shape.
- In a deep bowl, mix all the ingredients. Combine the potato-apple mass to the onion, add the egg, flour, salt and pepper. The consistency should resemble a dense dough. If the mixture is too liquid, you can add a spoonful of flour.
- Put small cakes into a preheated pan with butter with an oil. Fry them over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden crust. Glue the finished pancakes with paper towels to remove excess oil.
It is better to serve the dish warm. Sour cream or Greek yogurt emphasize an unusual combination of tastes. For piquancy, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or greens. Such pancakes are airy inside and with a crispy crust outside. Bon appetit!
