Daniel Pancu announced the preliminary list of strangers for the European U21 Championship of 2025

Daniel Pancu (47 years old), the national team of Under 21, announced on Friday the preliminary group of strangers it will count on the European Championship this summer.

  • The European Under 21 Championship in Slovakia will take place between June 11 and June 28;

  • The Romanian national was distributed in Group A, together with Slovakia, Spain and Italy;

  • The matches from the European Youth will be able to be watched on Pro TV, Pro Arena, but also on the Voyo streaming platform. Also, all the confrontations of Romania will be able to be followed in LiveText format on gsp.ro.

Now, in the first phase, Pancu sent the call telegram for 9 of the players who evolve abroad.

  • Rareș Ilie (Catanzaro / Italy), Marius Corbu (Apoel Nicosia / Cyprus), Costin Amzar (Al Nasr / United Arab Emirates), Matteo Duțu (AC Milan / Italy), Vlad Rafailă (US Lecce / Italy), Ümit Akdağ (Toulouse FC / France), Rareș Burnete (US Lecce / Italy), Răzvan Sava (Udinese / Italy), Tony Strate (AC Ajaccio / France)

The final lot for the Slovak tour will have some of these players, who will be added the players from the internal competition.

The selected Under 21 will check in June the 5th presence at a final European youth tournament, after the participations of 1998, 2019, 2021 and 2023.

The coach Daniel Pancu finalized the program “tricolor” until the start of Euro. Thus, the national of Romania will carry out, between May 29 and June 9, a cantonment in Austria. Starting June 9, the youth national will go to Slovakia, where it will stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Bratislava during the final tournament.
