An 8 -year -old Romanian in New Zealand was the first voter in the second round of presidential elections, at the open section in Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand.

One hour from the opening of the polling station, six Romanians were exercised in Auckland.

At the first round of the presidential elections, held on May 4, at the Auckland polling station they exercised 168 Romanian citizens. Of these, 115, that is 68.45%, voted for Nicuşor Dan, 15 Romanians (18.33%) voted with George Simion, and 14 citizens (8.33%) voted with Crin Antonescu.

Elena Lasconi obtained 11 votes, and Victor Ponta 9. Cristian Terheş, Lavinia Şandru, Sebastian Popescu and John-Ion Banu-Muscel each obtained one vote.

The vote abroad for the second round of the presidential elections started on Thursday evening, at 10:00 pm, with the opening of the Auckland polling station.

The voting process abroad ends on Sunday, at 9:00 pm, without exceeding 21:00 of Romania.

For the second round of the presidential elections, 965 polling stations were set up abroad, with 15 sections more than for the presidential and parliamentary elections held last year.
