In the coming days, talks of Russia and Ukraine are to start in Istanbul regarding the end of the full -scale war started by Moscow in February 2022.
The presence in Turkey was confirmed by the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski. It is still unknown who will represent Russia. US President Donald Trump announced that his special envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio would go to Turkey.

On Wednesday, Reuters wrote that Witkoff said that together with the Secretary of State he would come to Turkey on Friday. Other media did not confirm these reports. According to previous reports, Witkoff and Rubio were to participate in the meeting in Istanbul on Thursday.
