The US set Russia before a dozen or so tests, showed good will, showed encouragement and give Putin the last chance to “exit from the highway to hell,” said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski after meeting the heads of diplomacy of the largest European countries and after talking to the Secretary of State of the USA Marek Rubio.

Sikorski flew to London to a meeting of the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the so -called Holy Friday, i.e. France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain, as well as Great Britain and the EU. The deliberations will be devoted to the support of Ukraine, hopes for suspension of weapons and strengthening Euro -Atlantic ties. After the meeting in this group, the heads of EU diplomacy, Great Britain, France, Germany and Poland also took part in video conference with the Secretary of State of the USA.
“The same theme. It is Russia who decides whether it fills its declarations with the content that it wants peace and therefore agrees to a 30 -day suspension of weapons, but it was another lie – and then we cannot have the slightest doubt as to who wants peace and who wants to continue the war” – Sikorski said after talks.
When asked about the attitude of the Secretary of State of the USA, Sikorski stated that “the United States underwent Putin a dozen or so tests.” “The magnificent good will and showed encouragement, and now they give him the last chance to take advantage of what the Americans define off -frame, i.e. a downhill from the highway, to hell,” he said.

At the same time, the head of Polish diplomacy emphasized the attitude of Ukraine, which, as he noted, is “ready to make mature decisions and conversations” with “the country that bombards it”. “We'll see what the Russian side will do.” Sikorski also assured that the decisions made by Ukrainians are “announced in consultation with us – allies of Ukraine”.
On Saturday in Kiev, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, President of France Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer and the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski called Russia to unconditional arms from Monday to 30 days and joining peace conversations. The initiative was supported by leaders of about 30 countries of the “Coalitions of Volunteers” who merged with Kiev online. The proposal was also supported by US President Donald Trump.
Putin responded with a counter -proposal: direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine could start on Thursday, without preliminary conditions. However, he did not mention the suspension of the weapon. He announced that Russia proposes direct conversations to “eliminate the original causes of the conflict.” Trump referred to this proposal, who wrote on Sunday in social media that Ukraine should accept the Russian offer of the meeting.
In the evening on Sunday, the President of Ukraine reported that he was expecting arms from Russia from Monday and will wait on Thursday for Putin in Turkey. (PAP)
