A 3-year-old girl died on Sunday, May 11, at the County Emergency Hospital (SJU) Târgu Jiu, following a cardio-respiratory stop.

The little girl was brought to the medical unit with fever and seizures, the suspicion being taken by her 5 -year -old sister medicines, under treatment for autism. The parents deny and say that the little girl Tuşa and had a fever, being given antibiotics prescribed by the family doctor.
“On the evening of May 11, 2025, the patient, 3 years old, was brought by ambulance from the Mătăsari Permanence Center to the Pediatric Guard. It was 20:25. She had been consulted at the Permanence Center and the guard doctor there announced the doctor SJU TG Jiu that he suspected of an ingestion of medicines – the 5 -year sister's medication that has childhood autism and for which he takes treatment. The parents denied”, States the representatives of the hospital, according to News.ro.
The parents reported that it had begun to cough and have a fever two days ago. At the time of presentation at SJU Târgu Jiu the child would have been under treatment with antibiotic prescribed by the family doctor, according to parents.
“At the presentation at Pediatric's Guardthe patient had a general condition influenced with convulsive status and fever. The inanimate body was transported to the Gorj Legal Medicine Service to carry out the necropsy and to establish the cause of death. The management of the County Hospital notified the Ministry of Health and the Gorj Public Health Directorate.
