“France plays a key role in ensuring security in Europe, in repelling Russia thanks to its nuclear potential. So close cooperation with France is particularly important from our point of view,” said the expert of the Polish Institute of International Affairs. She pointed out that “after Russia's full -glass aggression on Ukraine, France increased its commitment on NATO's eastern flank, which contributes to strengthening Poland's security.”

“We share with France an assessment of the threat to Europe by Russia, also in cybernetic dimension, hybrid attacks, disinformation. France, like Poland, supports the expansion of tools of security and defense policy in the European Union,” she pointed out.

Commenting on the announcements regarding the treaty with Poland, she pointed out that the French side compared him to contracts that she had previously concluded with neighboring countries: Germany, Italy and Spain. “Poland will be the first state that is not a direct neighbor of France with whom it will sign a document of this rank,” said Dziubińska.

She stipulated that the current bilateral treaties of France with three neighbors “have a certain common framework, but also special features: accents in the French-German treaty are spread a little differently, and differently in the case of cooperation with Italy and Spain.” However, she emphasized, “in all these treaties, the inseparable nature of safety interests is particularly emphasized.”

“Given the current rudimentary announcements, it can be assumed that the inseparable nature of security interests will also be maintained and emphasized in the treaty that France will sign with Poland,” said the expert of the Scriptures.

Treaties signed by France with Germany, Italy and Spain contain the wording about help in the event of armed aggression, reference to the provisions of Article 5. North Atlantic Treaty and Art. 42.7 of the EU Treaty in Lisbon. According to the analyst, if such a record is included in the treaty with Poland, “such a clause will strengthen the strategic solidarity between France and Poland” and “will highlight a clear commitment and determination of both parties to provide mutual assistance, using all means available to them in the case of armed aggression.”

“It is also about giving visible significance of Polish-French military cooperation. It would be an important political signal on the part of both countries, which will affect Russia's strategic calculations,” said the expert of the magazines.

“We hope that close cooperation with France will contribute to greater harmonization of European Union activities in the sphere of security, to strengthen the European defense industry, to strengthen the European dimension of NATO, more effective scares of Russia, develop the interoperability of the armed forces and, perhaps, for greater cooperation of our industry,” the analyst summed up.
