The Republic of Moldova has managed to withstand pressures from Russia through the support from the European Union, the EU ambassador said on Friday, Janis Maziks, in a message sent to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the day of Europe marked on May 9, reports the National newspaper in Chisinau, quoted by Agerpres.
“A country that chooses war, destruction and oppression is doomed to corruption and illegality. The war carried by Russia against Ukraine reminds us of what really matters. Russia tries to reconfigure world order – not through rules and cooperation, but by gross force, aggression and impact. misinformation that aims to divide the society.
The head of the delegation of the European Union congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Moldova on the occasion of Europe Day, further emphasizing the meaning of this day. “On Europe Day, we celebrate unity, peace and prosperity – fundamental values that unite us while building a common future in our great European family,” he mentions.
“The Republic of Moldova has chosen the path of European integration-a course of democracy, the rule of law and economic development. This choice is not only of the political class, but reflects your will: the will of the citizens of Moldova. It is your responsibility to be careful that the European path will remain solid,” Janis Maziks told Moldovan citizens.
“The European Union is with you! When a Moldovan farmer has access to European markets, when a student learns abroad through the 'Erasmus' program, when a village receives drinking water with the support of EU, all these bring real changes in people's lives, on Europe Day, to reaffirm our commitment to the values, which is not a place. Idea is a choice.
