The chief builder of the airships in Russia, Alexander Kirilin, died.
As it became known to Mash, he suffered from oncology. Yesterday morning he was called an ambulance, but he refused hospitalization. In the evening he died.
Alexander Kirilin was known as the main popularizer of the airships. He also held the post of president and general designer of Aerostatic JSC. Prior to his proposed projects of super -heavy balloons with engines that could be used to transfer oil equipment to distant regions of Siberia.
Now its airships are used to relay radio signals and weapons in the area of a special military operation.
