Euronews opened the comments on the online transmission of the presidential debate, which lasted 4 hours. For their opinions are posted faster in the comments, people paid. Money was spent in at least 11 national coins, the equivalent of 12,000 lei.

On Thursday evening, at the first presidential debate, the Euronews television broadcast the more than four hours of broadcast and on YouTube, most of the time having on the platform an audience of about 100,000 users. However, people were not limited to pursue and weigh the arguments of those who ask for their vote they wanted to participate in the debate through comments.

The comment section showed, throughout the electoral dispute, as a seismograph on alert, because the fast flow made the messages read until they disappeared to make room for others. So people started to pay for their messages to be highlighted by the YouTube platform.

How to pay

YouTube users have the option to prioritize their message, if they accompany the comment of a donation. After the US company retains a percentage, the “donation” reaches the Euronews account. A “paid” comment through a donation has a greater priority.

On what messages insisted

The recurring subjects were something said by the shock about George Simion (we do not play the matter because it is immunized, unwanted, irrelevant for any discussion) or how much is Nicuşor Dan. But there were also users who propelled their message just to tell people to vote.

“We have to indignate ourselves,” said Gabriel Liiceanu in an interview in the context of another election campaign. And with the feeling that they are excluded from the political life and the decisions of the politicians, people wanted to be seen, noted.

It is not a new phenomenon, it confirms the wave of comments in the basements of online items. This time, however, in order to have a say in the Citizen Forum of Political Debates, there is also a price.
