A well -known bar close to bankruptcy after the decision of the officials

Pub Fyrtel, known for its intimate concerts and cultural events, found himself in a difficult situation. The Gdynia City Hall withdrew the premises permission to sell alcohol, citing residents' complaints regarding noise and disturbing public order – informs Trojmiasto.pl. This decision means serious financial problems for the premises.
Fyrtel, which has been operating since 2018, has been struggling with growing tension in relationships with neighbors for years. Despite the introduced changes, such as limiting opening hours or resignation from DJ events, the complaints did not claim. The owners of the premises, wanting to alleviate the situation, closed the pub at 22.00 and limited their activities to cultural events. However, this was not enough to alleviate the conflict.
Maciej Poznański, manager of Fyrtla, in an interview with the portal Trojmiasto.pl emphasized that the place had undergone a significant evolution. The introduced changes were aimed at adapting to the expectations of residents. Unfortunately, according to Poznański, even police interventions – often carried out before the silence of the night – did not show violations of law, which did not reduce the number of applications from the neighbors.
Fyrtel without alcohol. Bar close to bankruptcy after the decision of the officials
The Gdynia City Hall has decided to withdraw the permit for the sale of alcohol. As explained by Jakub Winiewski from the Press Office of the Medical University in Gdynia, the basis was numerous police interventions – as many as 32 applications regarding the disturbance of public order in recent months.
The inability to sell alcohol is a huge blow to Fyrtel. For a pub, which built its brand as a meeting place and cultural events, this means a significant reduction in revenues. Currently, the premises remains closed, although smaller cultural events are organized.
Fyrtel owners are not going to give up. His supporters who organized a petition also stood up in defense of the pub. The management of the premises is counting on an agreement that would allow you to continue.
