Croatian minister in Warsaw. There will be an alliance


On Thursday morning, in Warsaw, there was a working meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with his Croatian counterpart. The conversations focused on topics about international security and military cooperation. At the later press conference of Poland, the minister confirmed that Poland remains a devoted ally of Croatiaand further activities are aimed at developing defense and economic projects.
He also mentioned plans to visit Zagrebwhich will be to start a specific mission related to defense, infrastructure and trade.
Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized the importance of cooperation between the arms industries of both countries, indicating the possibility of exchanging experiences in the use of systems such as American Himars and Turkish Bayraktars. According to the deputy prime minister, the partnership with Croatia gives the opportunity to use EU funds and the development of specialist production capacity.
“We have maybe not the largest companies in the world or in Poland or Croatia, but we have unique production abilities, various types of very specialist activities. We will also join our forces to use the EU funds” – added the head of the Ministry of National Defense.
The Polish minister also drew attention to the importance the presence of Croatian soldiers in Polandwhich in his opinion contributes to the strengthening of NATO's eastern flank. At the same time, he thanked for the declaration of the Croatian side about increasing its contingent. In his speech, he referred to the joint perception of the threats flowing from Russia and the need to solidarity to counteract negative geopolitical scenarios.
Ivan Anusic, a Croatian defense minister, also emphasized determination to intensify cooperation with Poland. He expressed the hope that the upcoming visit of the Polish Deputy Prime Minister in Zagreb would end with the signing of a letter of intent, which would allow the transition to specific projects related to defense, security and weapons. He added that the talks brought specific findings about the future of the bilateral alliance.
