Los Angeles also hosted the Olympics in 1932 and 1984, but 2028 will mark the first time that the city will host an edition of the Paralympic Games.
“The Paralympic closure ceremony marks the last moments of the LA28 games, creating an unforgettable inheritance that will forever connect the Olympic and Paralympic Movement to Los Angeles,” said LA28 in a statement.
No surprise, just a confirmation
The announcement is not a surprise, but a confirmation, because La28 proposed these places in his 2017 Olympic candidacy plan.
During the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games last year, the national delegations paraded in boats on the Seine, in a show despite the rainy weather.
At the closing ceremony, the famous actor Tom Cruise went down to the roof on Stade de France to take the Olympic flag back to Los Angeles, where he arrived at a beach party in Long Beach in an ingenious mounting.
In April, La28 revealed other plans for games, the beach volleyball will enjoy a location at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, and the squash to have a small Hollywood show for its Olympic debut at the Universal Studios Lot.
