At least three people were killed and another 11 were injured on a Russian ballistic missile attack on the city of Northeast Ukraine on Tuesday, local authorities said, stating that children are also victims, AFP reports.
According to the first information broadcast by Ukrainian services for emergencies, “the enemy hit civil infrastructures with a ballistic missile.”
“Three people lost their lives (two died at the hospital, among them a child) and eleven were injured, including five children,” the rescue services said.
The Russian attacks have intensified in the region in recent weeks, notes Reuters, even reminiscent of the bloody attack on the city of Sumî on Sunday of Flowers, in which 35 people were killed and about 120 were injured.
On Monday, the authorities began to evacuate the inhabitants of the border villages after intensifying the military actions on both sides of the border and of the Russian bombings on these settlements.
