Bronze figure 4.5 meters high was created by famous authors – Alexander Tkachuk and Andrei Kiyanitsyn. Together with the pedestal, the composition rises by 8 meters. The mayor of Achinsk, Igor Titenkov, speaking at the ceremony, congratulated the inhabitants on a historical event and thanked everyone who took part in the creation of a sculptural composition.

Let this park become a place where everyone can stop, think and remember those who fought for our homeland, ”the city administration said.

Because this monument is the only monument to George the Victorious of this scale beyond the Urals. We glorify him not only as the winner of a certain terrible beast, today we glorify a warrior, a young man who has undergone terrible torment, a terrible execution for the confession of the Christian faith. The Holy Great Martyr was the patron saint of our Fatherland for many centuries. It is no accident that the Victory Marshal was named George Zhukov … And on the day of memory of the great martyr George, the first surrender of the fascist troops was signed in 1945. The first date of Victory Day was just in memory of the great martyr George. That year, the day still coincided with the Orthodox Easter. Therefore, almost the entire history of our Russian state is associated with the name of the great martyr George.
