The Romanians from the diaspora have sanctioned harshly now, but also in 2024, the people and parties that governed the country, writes Dan Udrea, in an opinion published on Golazo.ro. In what was the largest all-time voting presence from the Romanians in the Diaspora, the percentage obtained by the candidate of the parties that ensure the Romanian government was the lowest.
Crin Antonescu, the candidate of the PSD – PNL – UDMR alliance, obtained only 6.74% of the votes outside the country's borders.
The first two in the hierarchy were the ones who also advanced in round 2, and from the diaspora, Simion and Nicușor Dan gathered over 85% of the votes! Simion approached 600,000 votes, from a total impressive volume, of 970,000 votes.
