The Ukrainians have started a new assault on the Kursk region, say Russian war bloggers. “Heavy battles are given at the border”

The Ukrainian army has launched a new terrestrial incursion into the Russian Kursk region, with armored vehicles, supported with rocket and drones, Russian war bloggers said.

There are no official statements on any part of the cross -border assault, and the governor of the Kursk region only said that the Ukrainians have attacked an electric substance and that the energy has not yet been restored in the city of Rylsk

“Dear inhabitants, the enemy, in his agony, continues to launch blows against our territory,” Alexander Khinshtein wrote on Telegram.

The authorities evacuated the residents of the areas near the border, because the attacks of the Ukrainian drones of the last day have become “more frequent”, the administration of the Kursk region also said on Tuesday morning.

Russian war bloggers said that Ukrainian forces attacked the Kursk region Monday, pulling rockets, crossing the border and crossing the fields with special vehicles.

“The enemy threw bridges with rocket bridges at night and launched an attack with armored groups in the morning,” the Russian War Blogger “Rvvovoor said on Monday.

“The vehicles of demination have begun to create ways of passage through the mining fields, followed by armored vehicles.

The popular Russian military blog Rybar said on Tuesday that the advance of the Ukrainians near the Tetkino settlement in the Kursk region over the border was stopped.

Multiple Localities in Kursk have been evacuated

The head of Glushkovo district of Kursk, near the border with Ukraine, Pavel Zolotaryov, wrote on Telegram that the inhabitants of several localities were evacuated to safer areas.

“In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase in attacks from enemy drones. There have been cases of people killed or injured, houses and civil infrastructure installations,” said Zolotaryov.

On Tuesday, the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces said in its daily update only that the fights continued throughout the Kursk section of the front line, the Kiev forces rejecting 18 enemy attacks in this area.

Offensive surprise of last summer

Ukraine carried out a surprise offensive in Kursk in August 2024, in the hope that it will change the course of the war, diverting Russian troops from other parts of the front and to conquer areas that become a negotiation tool with Moscow.

Last month, a high Russian general said that Ukrainian troops were expelled from Kursk, ending the largest incursion to the Russian territory from World War II, and that Russia creates a buffer area in the Ukrainian region.

Kiev did not admit that his troops were forced to leave. President Volodimir Zelenski said the Kiev forces continue to operate in Kursk and the Adiacent Belgorod region.
