
Svitolina rose immediately to three positions in the ranking. This was facilitated by the participation of the Ukrainian in the Mutua Madrid Open (Spain) tournament from the WTA1000 series, where she reached the semifinals and lost only the first racket of the world, performing in the “neutral” status of Arina Sobolenko from Belarus.
The second racket of Ukraine Marta Kostyuk improved its retaking at once for nine seats: it was the 36th, it became the 27th. On Mutua Madrid Open, she reached the quarterfinals, where she lost to the same Sobolenko.
The greatest progress in the ranking was demonstrated by Julia Starodubtseva-plus 19 positions, now she is the 80th racket of the world. In Madrid, she went through qualifications and reached the fourth circle of the main grid of the tournament.
Also in the WTA ranking, Dayana Yastremskaya rose, now she is the 45th (plus one position).
The only Ukrainian from the TOP-100 who worsened her rating is Angelina Kalinina. She has 75th place (minus one position).
Sobolenko remains the leader of the world tennis in a single category. In second place is Iga Schwentek from Poland. In third place, pushing Jessic Pegul from the United States, her compatriot Coco Gauf moved.
