Calin Georgescu escapes some prohibitions imposed by judicial control. Court decision

The District Court 1 annulled to the former candidate at the Presidency the prohibition to carry or use weapons and the obligation to communicate relevant information about its means of existence, according to the sentence published on the Portal of Justice. The rest of the measures previously imposed remain in force. The decision is final.
Also, the duration of judicial control imposed on behalf of Călin Georgescu was reduced from 60 to 45 days, starting from April 27. The rest of the measures imposed remain in force.
Thus, the court partially admitted the request of the former presidential candidate to have risked the judicial constrol.
“(…) Admits in part the complaint made by the defendant Georgescu Călin (…) The obligation to not own, use or carry the obligation to periodically communicate relevant information about its means of existence. 05.05.2025 ”, is mentioned in the court decision.
The measures that Georgescu must respect
During this measure of judicial control, Călin Georgescu must be presented periodically to the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate and has several prohibitions, among which to leave the country without the approval of the judicial authorities and is not allowed to post on the social networks content with a legionary, fascist, anti -Semitic or Xenophobic character.
Georgescu is being prosecuted for criminal offenses, the most serious being that of notifying actions against the constitutional order, in tempted form, being accused of having set up a plan to destabilize Romania with the mercenaries led by Horațiu Potra, after the Constitutional Court annulled the results of the first tour of the presidential elections.
Calin Georgescu is under judicial control of February 27.
On March 9, the Central Electoral Office invalidated the candidacy of Călin Georgescu to the presidential, being invoked the decision of the Constitutional Court of December 2024, by which the elections in the first round were annulled.
