Gold representatives accuse the presence of deceased persons on the electoral lists, but also an increase in requests for the mobile ballot box, compared to the first round of the presidential elections of 2024.

In a press conference held at the Gold headquarters, the MEP Georgiana Teodorescu said that deceased people were found in electoral lists in counties such as Teleorman, Timiș, Braila or in Sector 6 in Bucharest.

Also, Teodorescu requested the extension of the voting program in the diaspora as there are sections where queues were formed, and the closing of the sections at 21.00 (Romania time) will not allow everyone to vote. Until 5 pm, almost 800,000 people voted in the diaspora.

Compared to the past elections, when the Romanians from the Diaspora could vote until the local time, the Government has modified this provision, and now the polling stations abroad for presidential elections 2025 will be closed on Sunday at 9:00 pm of Romania.

“We have many situations with deceased people who are on the electoral lists. In Bucharest and Prahova we have proven, because there are already video filming up on the Internet and the authorities have also been notified. In fact, there are such situations. The MEP Georgiana Teodorescu claimed that there is an increase in the demands for the mobile ballot box.
