Border police officers from the Border Border Police sector have caught a man with Armenian citizenship who crossed the Prut swim river to enter Romania illegally.

Based on the exchange of data and information with counterparts in the Republic of Moldova, border guards from the Border Police Sector Berceni organized and carried out a punctual action in the area of responsibility, on the line of combating illegal migration, on which they identified the Armenian man, the representatives of the Border Inspector (ITPF) said on Friday.
“The interception and legitimation of the man was intercepted. Because he was not a Romanian speaker, he was led to the headquarters of the Border Border Police Sector in order to establish the identity and continue the investigations. In the shortest time, the border authorities of the neighboring state were informed and the investigations in question were carried out in common. Armenian nationality, 38 years old and crossed the Prut swim river, in the direction of Bumba, trying to get illegally entering Romania, for the purpose of reaching a state in western Europe, where to find a job“, The quoted source says.

The border police are conducting investigations in terms of committing the crime of illegal crossing of the state border, at the end of the legal measures to be taken.
Based on the rehabilitation agreement, the man was handed over to the border authorities of the Republic of Moldova in order to continue the investigations.
