Nicușor Dan about Coldea's mandate at SRI, at the Hotnews question: “harmful to society” / What did he say about Coldea

At the press conference on Thursday night, after the “Scandal of Photographs” launched by Elena Lasconi, Hotnews asked Nicușor Dan to tell the public who thinks about General Florian Coldea at SRI.

Elena Lasconi has put into circulation photos in which Florian Coldea, Victor Ponta and Nicușor Dan appear separately, leaving a building. Lasconi claims that they attest to a meeting of the three, from December 2024 and that it is related to participation in the elections. The first one denied Victor Ponta, who said he had never seen Nicușor Dan.

For his part, Nicușor Dan organized a press conference. He said he never met Victor Ponta in private, “only in official actions” and that he had not seen Florian Coldea once, “almost 10 years ago, at a reception at the France's Embassy.” Dan denied any meeting with the two and said he would make criminal complaint to Elena Lasconi.

Hotnews asked Nicușor Dan how Florian Codea's mandate appreciates, given that in this campaign the candidate frequently spoke about the need to reform the secret services.

“I cannot give a complete answer, because I was not very involved in the national politics at that time. What I can tell you is that during his mandate (Gen. Florian Coldea) there was an interference of services in the act of justice. And this was harmful to the society,” Nicușor Dan replied.
