The USR candidate for the presidential elections, Elena Lasconi, published on Thursday, May 1, on her Facebook page, three photos saying that Nicușor Dan, the former first deputy, Florian Coldea, and former prime minister Victor Ponta appear.

“In the spirit of truth, I think we all need some explanations for these photos,” Lasconi wrote in the post, without any other comments.

  • Hotnews has requested views from Nicușor Dan and Victor Ponta and we will publish them when we have them.
  • Victor Ponta said for Hotnews: “I certainly never saw myself in private with Nicușor Dan. I certainly never saw Florian Coldea in 2024! It seems clear that it is a fake!”.

The publication of the photos comes one day after, during the electoral debate from Antena 3, Lasconi asked Nicușor Dan if, apart from a well -known meeting at the France's Embassy, he had any discussion with Florian Coldea. The independent candidate denied.

On Thursday, in an interview with Europa FM, Elena Lasconi said she received the photos by e-mail and that she wanted to check if Nicușor Dan will publicly admit the existence of other meetings.

“I wanted to see if, asking him, he would recognize it. I knew he lied and lie,” Lasconi said.

Lasconi also claimed that former prime minister Victor Ponta also appears in the pictures, suggesting that the meeting could have been related to a political agreement regarding the candidacy of Nicușor Dan.

“And Mr. Ponta. I think it was the arrangement for the candidacy,” said Elena Lasconi.
