Modern air fresheners often contain chemical components that can irritate the respiratory tract and cause allergic reactions. At the same time, natural alternatives are not inferior in effectiveness if you know the correct proportions. To create a homemade freshener, you will need only three basic ingredients that will be found in any kitchen.
Prepare in advance:
1. Food soda (as a basis)
This substance not only neutralizes smells, but also absorbs excess moisture. Soda works as a natural filter, especially in closed rooms with high humidity.
2. Essential oils (for aroma)
10-15 drops are enough to give a mixture of any shade of smell. By the way, tea wood or eucalyptus oils have an antibacterial effect.
3. Distilled water
It helps to evenly distribute the components and extend the duration of the mixture, unlike tap water, which contains impurities.
The preparation method is simple: It is necessary to mix a tablespoon of soda with a glass of water, add essential oils and pour into a container with a spray. The resulting composition does not only mask the smells, but also eliminates their cause. And it also does not contain aerosols and synthetic fragrances.
In addition, such a freshener is safe for children and pets, and its cost is several times lower than store analogues.
