Melons about Trump's meeting with Zelanski. “The decisive moment for Ukraine”

– We support Trump's actions and we are glad that [prezydent Ukrainy Wołodymyr] Zelanski declared that he was open to an unconditional suspension of weapons, showing that Ukraine also wants peace – said Melons in an interview with the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera”, published on Tuesday.
– Now Russia must prove the same. The three -day suspension of weapons announced by Putin on the anniversary of the victory in World War II is something different and definitely insufficient – she added.
“Decisive moment”
On Monday, Putin announced a three -day arms suspension to apply from 8 to 11 May. He did it to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in World War II, also coinciding with the celebration of the victory day celebrated in Russia on May 9.
Wołodymyr Zelanski sharply criticized this idea, calling it “another attempt to manipulate”. “For some reason, everyone is to wait with stopping the fire until May 8 – only to provide Putin with silence during his parade,” said Zelanski.
According to Meloni, Zelanski's meeting with the President of the United States Donald Trump, which took place on Saturday during the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome, could have been a decisive moment for Ukraine.
– I think it was a beautiful moment and what the main participants told me [tego spotkania]he could also be a turning point. Perhaps it was the last gift of Pope Francis for all of us – said Melons.
“I think that during this conversation there was something face -to -face that I can't describe … his spirit,” she added.
