The attitude of US President Donald Trump to Ukraine is unlikely to change – believes Kułeba. According to him, the time has come to realize that Kiev can no longer rely on the USA and this will not change even after the end of the presidential term of Trump – wrote the Ukrainian Unian service on Sunday.

“As if it didn't sound sorry, America has gone. We can't count on America anymore. Neither now or at least in a medium -term perspective, so even after Trump goes away,” Kułyba said.

According to the former minister, there is no real progress when it comes to conversations to lead to peace.

“We are not even close to real conversations about the end of the war. There are some negotiations, someone talks to someone. But from the point of view of the closeness of the suspension of weapons we are where we were in January. From the point of view of the closeness of the end of the war, we are where we were last autumn” – said Kułyba, who stood at the head of the Ukrainian ministry of diplomacy in 2020-2024. (PAP)
