You want to change occupation or are you considering a field of study? The Ministry of Education has published the latest forecast of the demand for employees in vocational education professions. This year's list includes 34 professions that are expected to be in particular demand on the domestic labor market.
The purpose of the forecast is to indicate in what direction the vocational education offer should develop. The list in 2026 includes the following professions (in alphabetical order):
- automation,
- concrete worker-reinforcer,
- carpenter,
- roofer,
- electromechanic,
- electrician,
- mechanic driver,
- mechanic-fitter of machines and devices,
- mechatronics,
- industrial insulation fitter,
- building structure fitter,
- railway track fitter,
- construction joinery fitter,
- operator of machines and equipment for earthworks and road works,
- operator of machines and devices in waste management,
- caregiver in a social welfare home,
- cutting machine operator,
- automation technician,
- railway traffic control automation technician,
- road construction technician,
- roofing technician,
- rail transport electrical engineering technician,
- electromobility technician,
- power technician,
- power technician,
- real estate technician,
- waste management technician,
- industrial insulation technician,
- mechanic technician,
- mechatronics technician,
- construction joinery assembly and automation technician,
- robotics technician,
- welding technician,
- railway transport technician.
Compared to last year's list, two professions have disappeared from the national list: operator of machines and equipment for plastics processing and caregiver of an elderly person. A new profession has appeared on the list: real estate management technician.

Professions of the future in Poland by voivodeship
This year's forecast also includes voivodeship lists, which distinguish professions with particularly important, significant or moderate demand in particular regions. In each voivodeship, priority professions have been identified – for example, in Lower Silesia these are: techniques of underground exploitation of minerals other than hard coal and IT technicianand in the Greater Poland Voivodeship interior design technician and service technician for the trade fair and exhibition industry.

Pursuant to the Act on the revenues of local government units, the amounts allocated to students and vocational education students are differentiated on the basis of this forecast. Professions considered particularly important for the country's development justify increasing funds for vocational education.
