American and Iranian negotiators will meet on Saturday in the capital of Oman, mask, on the third round of talks about the new nuclear agreement. The purpose of the agreement is to limit the Tehran atomic program in exchange for the abolition of sanctions. The key issue is the issue of enriching uranium by Iran.

Delegations are managed by Foreign Minister Iran Abbas Aragczi and Steve Witkoff, the envoy of the US President Donald Trump to the Middle East. On Saturday, first -level expert talks are to take place, then negotiations between Witkoff and Aragczi, then conducted by Oman's brokers – said the Reuters agency.
On April 12, two previous rounds of negotiations took place in Maskat and 19 April in Rome. Representatives of both sides positively assessed their effects, although the voltage on the Washington-Teheran line does not weaken.
One of the key issues in negotiations seems to be the issue of Iran's enrichment of uranium. The American Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Wednesday that Tehran would have to stop enriching uranium if he wants to conclude a contract with the USA, and the fuel needed for the nuclear power plant could be imported from other countries.
The Iranian authorities repeat that they are prone to some compromises, but they will not agree to the ban on enriching uranium and treat it as a “red line” in negotiations.
In 2015, Iran and world powers concluded a nuclear agreement, which was to limit the Tehran nuclear program in exchange for the abolition of some sanctions. The contract provided for, among others Limiting uranium enrichment to 3.67 percent
The US in 2018, during the previous presidency of Trump, withdrew from the contract. Iran also left her records, enriching uranium above the designated limit. The West accuses Tehran of secretly developing the ability necessary for the production of nuclear weapons. Tehran denies, emphasizing that his nuclear program has only civil character.
According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (Maea) from autumn 2024, Iran significantly increased its supplies of enriched uranium, including fuel with a purity of 60 %, and thus similar to 90 %, enabling the production of nuclear weapons.
Trump has repeatedly emphasized that he would not allow Tehran to gain nuclear weapons and threatened that if the negotiations have no effect, the US can attack Iran. The media reported that the raid for Iranian nuclear installations is also seriously considering Israel, which recognizes the regime in Tehran as the greatest enemy.
