The interim president of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, told Prima TV on Saturday that the decision of the Ploiești Court of Appeal to annul a decision of the Constitutional Court must be seriously analyzed by the justice system, warning that such decisions “Compromit Justice”, reports News.ro.

“Such decisions have to put in mind the justice system seriously, because there is a liability of the magistrates for the decisions they make,” Bolojan said, in a show on Prima TV, stressing that “certain decisions can destroy destinies and create problems.”

The interim president believes that such decisions, if not corrected by the system, “do nothing but compromise the justice.”

“In this way, unfortunately, we only affect, as I can tell you, the hope in the Romanian society, in the Romanian state, in a better world, because you cannot, say, hope that you will go well in a country, if you do not trust the institutions of that country and to the basic things that are there.”

Asked about the wave of similar complaints filed in other courts in the country, Bolojan stressed that citizens have the right to challenge decisions, but the High Court has already cut the issue.

“” You cannot forbid citizens to file an appeals, but (…) the High Court has sized the problem at the highest level. It means that if we do not understand what the judicial working authority means, it means that we have not understood anything. Give said the interim president.

Wave of requests to the Courts of Appeal in the country

A judge from the Ploieşti Court of Appeal admitted, on Thursday, the request of a person regarding the annulment of the Constitutional Court of December 6, 2024, by which the entire electoral process from the beginning of December was canceled. The next day, the High Court of Cassation and Justice admitted the CCR and the Prosecutor's Office at the magistrate's decision. The solution of the supreme court is final.

Shortly after the magistrate's decision, a Snoop investigation showed that, on April 8-17, over 130 applications regarding the annul or suspension of the Constitutional Court (CCR) decision to annul the presidential elections of December 2024 were registered.

On a site bearing the name “Tour 2 back”, the users were trained, step by step, how to sue the CCR. The page has a reference to the Tiktok account of the Axinte Lăcrămioara. There, the former judge of the Botosani Tribunal explained how the stamp duty is paid.
