US President Donald Trump in private conversations admits that developing an agreement between Russia and Ukraine is more difficult than he thought, and is frustrated by the fact that his previous efforts did not bring the desired effect – wrote the portal of the American CNN television on Friday.

Trump often mentions in conversations that the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Wladimir Putin and Wołodymyr Zelnski, hate themselves, which in his opinion hinders negotiations even more difficult – the website said, citing sources.
The president told his advisers that he would like to work out a truce between the parties before the hundredth day of his presidency, which falls next week.
CNN points out that for most of the second term Trump's anger is directed at Ukrainians, not Russia. One of the exceptions was his Thursday statement, in which he criticized Russia for bombing Kiev.
Trump wrote that Russian strokes on Kyiv are unnecessary and come to them in a very bad time. He appealed to Putin to “stop” and conclude a peace agreement.
According to CNN, these words shed light on the growing sense of irritability on the side of the president and his surroundings due to the fact that he could not put pressure on Putin in the right way to end the war. (PAP)
