Kyiv Post could not independently check the shooting time or location. Hur claims that the incident took place at the Central Rostov-On-Don aerodrome, where the aircraft would have caught fire and burned completely.
According to military intelligence services, the sabotage successfully infiltrated the scene and destroyed the plane. The plane wore the tail number “35” and it is estimated that its value amounts to about $ 50 million.
“The number of forces prepared to withstand the Kremlin and to carry out acts of demilitization of the aggressor state is increasing”is shown in the Hur statement, which ends with his ordinary message: “For each war crime committed against the Ukrainian people, there will be a fair revenge.”
The chief of Hur, Kirilo Budanov, also commented on the incident on Telegram:
“Minus another valuable Russian fighter plane-a Su-30SM, which the occupants used in the war against Ukraine, especially for air bombs, burned on the Rostov aerodrome.”
Su-30SM is a 4+ generation multi-generation fighter aircraft developed by the Irkut corporation for Russian aerospace forces.
