Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the PSD, sent a message to Victor Ponta on Friday, excluded from the party after enrolling in the presidential race, and accused of giving “great sovereignist” after “making money as” counselor “for the leaders of other countries!”.

“No one believes you that you are a great defender of Romanian companies when you consult millions of euros for foreign businessmen who want to take, for little money, our natural resources or cut our forests,” Marcel Ciolacu wrote on Facebook, on Friday, in the message addressed to Victor Ponta.

The prime minister continued to criticize his former PSD counselor and colleague.

“The most embarrassing is to introduce yourself to Tik Tok as a great lover of the country, when, for 10 years, you have killed your time on the golf courses around the world or in apartments through Istanbul and Dubai. Therefore, to choose your sovereignism (to have the citizenship of other states, many contracts outside Romania, the luxurious accommodations) Nicușor Dan ”, concluded Marcel Ciolacu.

The PSD supports Crin Antonescu, the common candidate of PNL and UDMR, in the presidential elections of May. Victor Ponta, former prime minister and PSD leader, who was elected deputy on the party's lists in the parliamentary elections on December 1, decided to register on his own in the presidential race and, therefore, was excluded from the Formation.
