The ones from Opta have prepared a top 100 with the most important clubs in world football, without counting the teams in the Top 5 European Championships, England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France, writes As.ro.

The index of each team is drawn up with the help of the matches played from 1990 to the present. After each match, the score is changed depending on the result of each team.

With an index of 82.2, FCSB is the only team in Romania present among the first 100 clubs in this hierarchy.

The leader of Liga 1 is 49th, above PAOK (59), Spartak Moscow (63), Gent (66), Dinamo Kiev (84) or Shahtior Donetk (89).

The first place is Benfica Lisbon, and the podium is completed by Sporting and Club Brugge. PSV, Feyenoord, Union Saint-Gilloise, Porto, Fenerbahce, Ajax and Celtic are the other troops in the top 10.
