The Russian forces in the front sector in Lîman, from the Donetk region, violated the one-day armistice, during the Easter holidays, used it to regroup and launched a large-scale infantry attack after its completion, said Anastasiia Blyshchyk, the spokesman of the 66th spokesman. Sigh.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin declared a cessation of one -day symbolic fire on April 19, about which Ukrainian president Volodimir Zelenski said he had been violated about 3,000 times, notes The Kyiv Independent.

“This so-called armistice did us more harm,” Blyshchyk said. “A few hours after Putin announced the cessation of fire, our positions were subjected to a massive artillery shooting,” she added.

According to the spokesperson, the Russian forces took the peace to reposition their units and prepare for new assaults.

“I saw them bringing their infantry to the front line with weapons, including grenades and machine guns,” she said.

“Our air recognition has detected over 120 Russian occupants, heading for plantations, forest belts, destroyed buildings and shelters during the so-called Easter Armistice,” Blyshchyk said.

The spokesman added that, with the conclusion of the armistice, the Russian forces launched a large -scale infantry offensive.

The sector of Lîman, in the north of the Donetk region, remains one of the most fierce areas on the front line. Its strategic importance consists in the proximity to the transport routes and key logistics.

The Russian attack came in the context of the statements of the Ukrainian military leadership that Moscow's spring offensive is already in progress.

On April 9, the head of the Ukrainian army, General Oleksandr Sîrskîi confirmed that Moscow started his spring campaign, with intensified attacks on several sectors of the front line.
