On the act issued by the Romanian Football Federation, the picture of Marius Șumudică is an older one, from the time when he was on the technical bench of CFR Cluj, the technician appearing in the photo while wearing the Cluj T-shirt, the last team in Romania that he prepared before Rapid.
Marius Șumudică was on the bench of CFR Cluj between June 2, 2021 – August 28, 2021, after which he left for Turkey, where he signed in October the same year, with Malatyaspor.
He left CFR in less than 3 months, amicably terminating the contract with Neluțu Varga, due to the weak results registered by Cluj in the European Cups.
