From the brine and on the stove: all the cookies from the USSR were loved – I “sweep” them in 10 minutes

If you have a cucumber brine in your refrigerator, do not rush to throw it away. After all, with it you can cook cookies, the taste of which was familiar, if not everyone, then many Soviet children.

For this you will need:

  • Cucumber brine (180 ml)
  • Wheat flour (500 g)
  • Butter (60 g)
  • Sugar (150 g)
  • Chicken egg (1 piece)
  • Soda food (1 tsp)

Preparation:

To begin with, beat the egg with a mixer with sugar to get a homogeneous mass. Then melt the butter and add it to the mixture with the brine. Now mix flour with soda and sank them into a bowl of liquid ingredients. You should get a soft, obedient dough that does not stick to your hands.

Form a ball out of it, wrap it with cling film and send it to the freezer for a quarter of an hour. Then take out the dough and roll it into a layer with a thickness of about a centimeter. Using molds, cut the future cookies and fry it in a slightly warmed pan on both sides until golden crust.

Serve the cookies to the table warm or barely cooled to fully enjoy its taste and aroma. Bon appetit!
