The new “Signalgate” phase in the USA. The White House hits the pentagon

– The president strongly supports the secretary of HegeSeth, who performs a phenomenal job. This happens when the whole Pentagon works against you (HegeSeth – ed.) And against the monumental change that you are trying to make, “Leavitt said in an interview with Fox News. In this way, she reacted to the latest reports that HegeSeth was to post plans for the Huti movement in the group's group in group chat in Signal. Unauthorized persons were to participate in these discussions, including The secretary's wife and brother.
The information provided by the head of the Pentagon was – according to media messages – similar to those transmitted in another revealed chat, with the random participation of the editor -in -chief of The Atlantic. HegeSeth posted there a schedule of the first wave of strokes in Yemen two hours before making these attacks.
Leavitt argued that HegeSeth was not sharing classified information on Signal. In her opinion, new reports are the result of leaks on the part of people “who do not like the change that the secretary is trying to introduce and who lie to mainstream media.”
Former clerk: Pentagon is in total chaos
On Sunday evening there was already a Pentagon clerk and a longtime collaborator of Hegeth, John Ullyot – who left the ministry after less than three months – posted on Politico the text calling on President Trump to release HegeSeth. Ullyot expressed the view that under the former presenter of Fox News Pentagon is “in total chaos” and drew attention to the numerous mistakes of his former boss, including Signalgate.
Last week, many close collaborators of HegeSth were dismissed from the Pentagon, officially due to the investigation of leakage of information to the media. Among the dismissed were the adviser of HegeStha Dan Caldwell, deputy chief of staff Darin Selnick and Colin Carroll, chief of staff of the deputy secretary of defense. Joe Kasper, chief of staff of HegeSetha, is also to leave his position in the coming days.
