After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Stephan Büchi applied for a short-term mission in a children's home in the 1990s. This has been transformed into a lifetime commitment to disadvantaged people and a democratic society. He witnessed the evolution of Romania in these years and detects the difficult political moment we go through now, but he has hopes that the Romanians will do, as they have always done.
