“If Russia is now suddenly ready to really get involved in total and unconditional silence (on the front – PAP), Ukraine will answer the same” – wrote Zelanski. He added that every action of Russia will meet with the symmetrical response of the Ukrainian side.

“If the Easter truce becomes a fact, Ukraine suggests that it lasts not only until Sunday, but to be extended” – he emphasized.

At the same time, he pointed out that despite the truce announcement, Russia continues offensive activities on many sections of the front, and its artillery continues to fire Ukrainian positions. “There is no credibility in the words from Moscow,” said the President of Ukraine.

In addition, Zelanski noticed that from the proposal of a 30-day suspension of weapons, which was proposed by the United States and supported by Ukraine, 39 days have passed, and Russia has not been answering. The Ukrainian president estimated that “30 hours is enough to make a media noise, but not (enough) to build trust.” “A chance for a room could give 30 days (suspension of fights – PAP)” – he wrote.

Zelanski announced that on Saturday evening he was expecting reports from the chief commander of the armed forces of Ukraine General Oleksander Syrski about the situation on the front.

Putin announced an Easter truce in the war with Ukraine on Saturday about an hour in advance, which in his words is to apply for 30 hours – from 17 Polish time until 23 from Sunday to Monday. Shortly after the indicated time of starting a truce, the head of the Ukrainian government center of counteracting disinformation Andrij Kaluenko announced that Russian forces continue the attacks on Ukrainian positions.
